Implicit biases are the result of mental associations that have formed by the direct and indirect messaging we receive, often about different groups of people. Because they are implicit, they are unconscious and automatic. We may not be aware of these beliefs and yet they do affect our decisions, behaviors, and interactions with others. We can take steps to increase our self-awareness, to challenge our biases and make conscious changes in our belief systems.
Mr. Scott Blair will be facilitating this workshop. Mr. Blair is an experienced and respected presenter and educator in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion. This Implicit Bias Workshop will address the concepts related to this important topic and help participants become more aware of how these biases affect our lives.
