Grades 4th-8th are invited to march in this year's Celebrate Israel Parade in New York City on Sunday, June 2nd. 

The parade runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm on 5th Avenue from 57th Street to 74th Street. Our theme will be Israeli Innovation, which aligns with the overall parade theme of Rak B'Yisrael - Only in Israel! 

We will have a bus leaving from the JDS at 7:30am and returning at 6:30pm. There are several ways for you, your students, and your family to participate in this incredible event!

     •We need adult and teenage marchers who can walk the entire parade route with our students. The transportation cost for each teenage or adult parade marcher is $15. Only people in 4th grade and older are allowed to march in the parade, and no strollers are permitted.

     •The transportation cost for our marching students (4th-8th grade) is $10. Students must be able to walk the entire parade route.

     •We also would love JDS family and friends spectators! Parents and children younger than 4th grade are encouraged to travel with us as well for the cost of $15 each. All children in 3rd grade or younger must be accompanied by an adult.  There will be floats, marching bands, clowns and jugglers on the Avenue to entertain the spectators. It will be a lot of fun!

We will be providing our marchers with JDS parade T-shirts, banners, flags, props, and everything needed to make us stand out! 

Please provide the T-shirt sizes for each individual who will be marching.

There are a limited number (55) of seats on the bus, in order to reserve a spot or spots, complete the JDS Community to the Celebrate Israel Parade form for each marcher / spectator no later than Monday, May 20, 2019.
