Join the Jewish Federation for a special Shabbat at Congregation Brith Sholom featuring the story of the secret rescue of Jewish refugees from Yemen in 2016.

Born in Yemen, Manny Dahari moved to the U.S. at the age of 13 due to the rise of anti-Semitism. After 10 years of not being able to return to Yemen to see his family, he aided the Jewish Agency for Israel in coordinating his siblings’ escape and later his parents. Today, Manny’s family lives in Be’er Sheva, Israel.

Manny is a marketing and political science major at Yeshiva University. He is the founder and president of the IAC-Mishelanu at YU. Manny is passionate about the rights of persecuted minorities in the Middle East, and the rights of Jewish refugees from Muslim countries. He advocates for Israel, which has become a safe haven for his family after fleeing Yemen, and speaks in colleges, high schools and other organizations to combat the rise of anti-Semitism.

Manny will speak during services. Kiddush to follow. Open to everyone.
