Jewish Federations Conclude Impactful Leadership Mission to Berlin & Israel

Jewish Federations recently concluded a successful and meaningful FRD Leadership Mission to Berlin and Israel, bringing together campaign leadership and professionals from 24 communities across North America. Led by Mission co-chairs David Heller and Iris Kraemer, the mission fostered connections and showcased the impact of Federation's work.

In Berlin, the group met with Ambassadors Ron Prosor and Amy Gutmann and engaged with local clergy, leaders, and government officials dedicated to combating anti-Semitism. We experienced firsthand the powerful programs of our overseas partners, including a dynamic camp for Ukrainian teens and meetings with young German Jewish changemakers and entrepreneurs.

During our time in Israel, we witnessed personal stories and learned about innovative programs supported by our Annual and Israel Emergency funds. These initiatives are addressing the needs of communities displaced from the North to the South. We left inspired by the resilience of the Israeli people, proud of the incredible generosity of our communities, and deeply grateful for the work of our partner organizations, grantees, and our Israel and Overseas team and committees.

This mission strengthened our lay/pro partnerships, created new connections among campaign leaders, and reenergized us to be ambassadors for the Federation system and the lives we touch.
