Meet Gavriel Siman-Tov
Hey, I'm here!
I’m so excited and thrilled to be here to get to know you, my new family. It is a difficult time to start a new chapter and to meet new people, but I'm excited to bring Israel to you, to work, talk and create with you!
Here some things you might find interesting about me:
What were the reasons that made you decide on Shlichut?
I got to know the Jewish communities abroad for the first time when I was 16 years old. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to do something with a Jewish community outside of my own. After being introduced to different communities throughout the years, I have a better understanding of how important the connection is between Jewish communities and Israel. I want to be a small part in ensuring that these connections not only keep growing, but get stronger.
What kind of Israel would you like to bring to the community?
Throughout my life I took part in a variety of different programs in which I learned and got to know the diversity of Israeli society. They say Israeli society is a big melting pot that includes people from all over the world. I have created my own version of Israel from this huge melting pot and that is the Israel I am going to bring with me. The new, the colorful, the vibrant Israel. The Israel that I want the world to know.
What are your hobbies?
I’m an amateur photographer and I love the outdoors, hiking, traveling ... I'm up for everything.
What do you want the community to know about you?
I am a people person and love making others smile and feel comfortable.
My favorite drink is probably coffee and I can teach you how to make some Israeli black coffee (we call it mud coffee).
My army service was pretty unordinary, there was a lot of music involved - and I will leave you with that.
When I was a teenager, I used to perform magic. I might have a few more tricks up my sleeve.
On that note I would love to meet each and every one of you. Please feel free to contact me, text/ phone calls/ email.
