Martin E. Zales, 90, formerly of Allentown, passed away in his home on May 2, 2026. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Louis and Renee (Rosenthal) Zales. Martin graduated from Cornell University and he served in Germany, resigning as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. He was employed by S. Zaleschitz & Co., NCR, Tridata, and then became an investor. Martin served on the Board at Congregation Sons of Israel; Board and Past President of the Jewish Day School; Board of Directors of Jewish Federation and its 1982 Campaign Chairman.

Survivors: Daughter, Susan Zales (Tom Epstein); Son, Saul Zales (Wendi); Brother, Jerome "Jerry" J. Zales; Grandchildren, Jonathan (Putri), Daniel (Aline), Joseph, and Jessy Epstein (Miguel Lacayo); 2 Great-Grandchildren. Martin was predeceased by his son, David I. Zales, who passed away in 2024.
