Matthew Robert Flack

Matthew Robert Flack, 39, of Allentown, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2025. Matthew was born in Elkridge, Maryland. He attended St. Augustine School, Mount St. Joseph High School and the University of Maryland College Park where he received his degree in horticulture. He worked for many years at George Washington University and then the Bethesda Urban Partnership. When he moved to Allentown, he continued his career at Lehigh University, where he worked as an assistant project manager. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 10 years, Kara (nee Musselman) and their beloved dog, Junior. He also leaves behind his parents, Robert and Jean Flack, his brothers, Andrew (Michelle) and Peter (Kari) Flack. He is also survived by his mother in law, Susan Musselman, and his brother in law, Ricky (Jacqueline). He is predeceased by his father in law, Rick Musselman. He will be dearly missed by his 7 beloved nieces and nephews – Patrick, Nicholas, Winnie, Emmett, Andie, Franklin and Sally. Matthew will always be remembered as a smart, funny, faithful, kind soul. He had encyclopedic knowledge of all things plant and tree related. He was a loyal Philly sports fan and suffered through every season. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. There will be a Celebration of Life and visitation for friends and family on Saturday, October 25 from 1-4 pm at the Musselman residence.
