Won't You Be My Neighbor: Hearing and Learning from Our Neighbors

 

One of the most quoted commandments in the Torah is from Leviticus 19:18 "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Yet, all too often the concept of "neighbor" is amorphous and theoretical.

 

Who are our neighbors? and What are their stories, perspectives, and dreams? We are blessed to live in an amazingly diverse and vibrant Bethlehem.

 

This education series will invite some of our neighbors to come and share their experiences, culture, and challenges with us. It is our hope that we can work to be better neighbors and build bridges of dialogue and understanding not only in times of crisis but in celebration of the rich tapestry that makes up our larger community.
